Magic Giant: Like a banjo player and a DJ rocking a club show in a barn, Magic Giant is inspired by its mission of moving bodies and souls alike. The four piece is currently self-producing its debut EP and recently sold out its first LA show at the popular Bootleg Theater. The band previously played festivals such as Sweetlife—headlined by Phoenix, Passion Pit, and Kendrick Lamar—and Life Is Beautiful—headlined by Kings of Leon, The Killers, and Imagine Dragons—and continues to build a reputation for its powerful live shows and frequent surprise musical guests, ranging from Capital Cities’ Spencer Ludwig, to Jazz phenomenon Jon Batiste. A reflection of its melting pot of cultural and musical backgrounds from Washington DC, Nashville, and Korea, the group united in Venice Beach, CA with the addition of its fourth member. The crew has evolved into a folk revival band with light electronic undertones that includes Austin Bis on lead vocals, Zambricki on mandolin and banjo, Brian Z on upright bass and acoustic guitar, and drummer and DJ, AJK. Magic Giant has been featured on media outlets ranging from NBC News to The Washington Post and was recently ranked between Beck and Tiësto on Metrolyrics’ What’s Trending.

Zeahorse : Zeahorse are four affable young men from Sydney. When they play you all set off on a path, an ascent. It is a path reminiscent of those trail-blazed in the 80s and 90s by those of a noisy independent spirit - the Albini's, the Mackaye's, the Yowe's. The path is questioning, self-deprecating and distrustful of society. You will pass the life laid out for you by others - your career, your 30th birthday, your very own pool. Western dreams that do not end well. And then, just like that, the groove changes. You are off the path you thought you were on and in unfamiliar territory. A once straight open forest has closed in. Now you are surrounded by brightly coloured mushrooms of all sizes that can bend your mind like Neo's spoon. Thick, sludgy quicksand sucks you down and down until your eyes are black. Storms heave overhead at such a low pitch, and in such a strange time, that you feel them more in your internal organs than your ears. Zeahorse's is not a safe path. You may forget which way is up or down, right or wrong, even where you thought you were headed. But, in the end, the destination is the same all music lovers strive for: to be left on top of the world. You may be left wondering how the fuck you got there, but you did get there, didn't you?

David & Devine: Dave Yaden (vocals/keys) and Candace Devine (vocals) joined forces after co-writing a few songs together and instantly feeling a natural chemistry. After playing a few local shows together in Los Angeles and gaining major industry buzz, the two artists decided to form David & Devine in early 2010. Both artists had a great amount of success prior to David & Devine. Yaden is a Grammy award-winning songwriter who has written and toured with artists such as Lady Antebellum, One Republic, Josh Kelley, and Eric Hutchinson. Devine is a professional vocalist who has toured and recorded with Christina Aguilera, Tony Lucca, Steven Van Zandt, and The Tubes. She has also written and recorded for national and international films such as Georgia Rule and Princess Diaries 2. David & Devine released their first EP in February of 2011. The self-titled EP features five original songs including single “’Til the Sun Comes Up” and fan favorite “Leave the Light On.” The music reflects a new age blues pop sound similar to what you would expect to hear if Elton John and Aretha Franklin decided to form a band. Todd Beauchamp, previously noted for his work with artists like Tony Lucca, Sara Bareilles, Tyler Hilton, and Mitchel Musso produced the album. The duo filmed Sci-fi thriller-themed music video for their single “Til the Sun Comes Up” that was directed and produced by Cullen Wright and Cypress House. The video also stars actress Mariana Klaveno from the HBO show, True Blood and Caitlin Thompson from ABC Family’s, Greek. The video will be released in April of 2011.

Decorator : In what started as a middle school cover band (think The Beatles and The Doors) for brothers Alix, Miles and Reece Melendrez, the growing urge for the guys to do their own thing became impossible to ignore. The boys soon found themselves at LA’s Silverlake Conservatory of Music, founded by Flea of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, where they met and joined forces with fellow musicians, Matt Mumcian and Cameron Johnson.                               The band’s first single, “Mad Cali Transit,” is a fitting introduction to the band. It’s an anthemic, modern day love song that buzzes with all the glitz and glam of their home state, California, delivered with all the grittiness and attitude reminiscent of modern rockers, The Strokes. Performing along the Southern California coast has the band chomping at the bit to take the DECORATOR music to the masses.
