The Mason Affair: Distinctive funk, rhythm and soul band The MASON AFFAIR has one singular purpose: Throw it down and groove it out. This classic ensemble of solid funk rhythms and organic horn lines is Los Angeles’s latest offering to the exploding West Coast funk scene, sealing the gap between the old and new schools of sweet funky soul. The self produced release, Eyes On Fire, is the latest acheivement for the band whose members have worked and performed with Leo Nocentelli of the Meters, Stanton Moore of Galactic, famed drummer James Gadson (Bill Withers, Charles Wright), Grammy winning Kenn Burrell and the Asteroids Galaxy Tour. Drawing from the natural energy forces emanating from California’s diverse landscape, The MASON AFFAIR delivers the positive vibes of good time funk, dance, and soul music that will get you moving and grooving.
