The Green: Four extraordinary talents, one scene-shaking reggae band. That’s The Green, four boys hailing from Hawaii who burst out last year with their self-titled debut album. Amazingly for a new band, the disc rocketed onto Billboard’s 2010 Year-End Top 10 Reggae Chart, was honored as iTunes’ Reggae Album of the Year, won Best Reggae Album at Hawaii’s 2011 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, and has sold over 20,000 copies. Now the promise of The Green’s youth-infused roots reggae revival is set to be fulfilled with their sophomore disc, Ways & Means, scheduled for an October 25, 2011 release on Easy Star Records, the pioneering indie reggae label. The startling speed with which the band has built up its strong and loyal following can only accelerate from here.

New Kingston: New Kingston is a young vocalist/instrumentalist group, that consists of three brothers. Tahir a.k.a. SLIM, the youngest member on Keyboards/Vocals. Courtney on Drums/Vocals and Stephen a.k.a SUKI, the oldest on Guitar/Vocals. This group fuses their Reggae sound with modern Pop, Jazz and R&B; music, to create their sound, which they term, "Reggae Crossover". New Kingston has been in the industry for some time now and some might call them, "young veterans"! The group is led by it's founder/manager and father Courtney LJPanton. New Kingston started off working with many artists such as,Collie Buddz, Mr.Vegas,Morgan Heritage, Sister Carol, Shabba Ranks, and many more. But, while working with all of these artists, manager Courtney LJ Panton had another vision. He had anulterior motivefor New Kingston, which was for them to rise to the top as a solo act and stand alone, capturing the love of the people. This helped to create their sound, dubbed, "Reggae Crossover". A blend of sounds, to everyones liking, while still sticking to their heritage. Reggae! Now this group is sharing the stage with many artists around the world fromEurope,to the Americas and beyond. New Kingston is currently set to release their second album, "InThe Streets". The album features two of their singles that are gaining radio recognition globally. "In The Streets", the title track of the album and "Pon Di Wall", which is on the Ting-ah-Ling riddim revamped and remade by New Kingston!
