The Carry On Band: Issac Avila and Pete Sarenana, life-long friends, had dreamed of starting a rock band together.  Only a few weeks into their newly unnamed band’s inception, Pete’s cousin Ray Carrion was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident.  Issac suggested they name the band The Carry-On Band in memory of Pete’s cousin.  The band worked steadily and built up a solid following until the untimely passing of Issac on August 30, 2009, just one year after Ray Carrion’s death.  Two weeks later, surviving members were joined on stage by Rudy Esquivel of GNR Entertainment, the bands WAR, El Chicano, Tierra, and Brenton Wood. Roy Z, also sat in for the band’s first performance without Isaac.  Encouraged by fans and supporters in the music industry, the Carry-On Band have continued to perform and are now joined on vocals and guitar by the legendary Latin rocker, Jerry Salas, lead singer of El Chicano, along with Adam Ponce on drums, Rick Cruz on Bass, and Mark Perdeaux on vocals. Today the Carry-On Band covers a little of everything from the classic rock genre, and with the inclusion of Jerry Salas on vocals, also include a sampling of El Chicano favorites in their set list. The Carry-On Band played to a crowd of 20,000 on the Fourth of July, and this past year were joined on stage by Gene Simmons and three-fourths of KISS, along with Bobby Kimmel of Toto for a Rock for Vets concert and a segment of Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

The Toys: The Toys are a motley crew of musicians and Mattel employees bringing cool tunes to the South Bay and beyond. Formed in 1995 by Ned Ward, Tim Kilpin and Paul Fish, “The Toys” were born out of a combined passion of music fun. Have you ever heard of us? Maybe, if you've been to some of our exciting live shows in Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, La Mirada, Cleveland or Scottsdale. Like many bands, we play some originals as well as occasional covers. Best word to describe us? If you asked us, we’d probably answer with “scrappy.” Over the past 18 years, The Toys have been known add and subtract members, using highly complicated band math. Fresh from the Battle of the Corporate Band Finals at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland for the second year in a row, after a third place finish last year, our line up for the Rock 4 The Rack show includes: Lorie Doswell - Vocals Felix Holst – Bass Gillian Hunt – Drums Tim Kilpin - Guitar, Vocals Ned Ward - Guitar, Vocals

Brian Travis Band: It’s not every day that a club owner sets his bar on fire to celebrate a great performance from a visiting band, but that’s just what happened when The BTB rocked the Isla Cantina. As the band dove into the Burning Man-themed crowd favorite “Gasoline,” a row of flame whipped across the top of the bar. “We were firing on all cylinders that night,” says singer & guitarist Brian Travis. “The place was packed & we were charged up. Our best shows don’t just rely on execution. They happen when we’re playing with great energy and the kind of momentum that pushes rock 'n roll forward, tapping into the spirit of the music itself.” Travis, Mark Wickliffe (drums) & Steve Wiel (bass) effortlessly mix classic rock with twangs of country & hints of the blues, giving traditional folk melodies a unique rock and roll vibe. With 5 albums of original content released, the core group of Travis, Wickliffe & Wiel continues to wow Los Angeles crowds with their own brand of heartfelt rock n roll. “The BTB show is real,” says Wiel. ” There is nothing staged, nothing scripted, hell, sometimes we don’t even have a setlist. Each show is like no other & you never know what’s going to happen.”
