The Parlotones: The Parlotones are known for their electric, polished stage performances delivered against the backdrop of their deftly crafted and darkly romantic lyrics. Their sound, described as alternative in their formative years has evolved substantially becoming more refined and focused with each album. It took the bands debut album ‘Radiocontrolledrobot’ two years to reach Gold status and their follow up ‘A World Next Door To Yours’ achieved this in three months. Three months later the album was certified Platinum. Testimony to just how much the band has grown over the past few years.’ A World Next Door To Yours’ remained on the South African top 20 sales chart for more than twelve months and is currently South Africa’s biggest selling rock album of this decade. The album spurned seven radio singles, a very unique situation.
Dinner And A Suit: In a music world where genre lines are increasingly blurred, DINNER AND A SUIT has emerged with a sonic meld that resonates with familiarity and captivates with distinction. Formed in New Jersey by cousins Jonathan Capeci, Joey Beretta and Anthony Genca, the three looked to their lineage for a musical namesake. During the Great Depression, the trio’s great grandmother was a seamstress by day and community humanitarian by night, welcoming the less fortunate into her home to feed home- cooked meals and then send off with newly repaired suits and clothing. As a combined unit, the efforts of Capeci, Beretta and Genca have forged a path that reflects their music itself: putting the right pieces in the right places at all the right times. Since their formation in 2009, Dinner And A Suit quickly captured attention with a captivating blend of ethereal rock and distinguished pop - leading to critical acclaim, a swelling dedication of global fans, and coveted live dates that have circled the band throughout the US. The spiraling success fueled Dinner And A Suit to transplant to Nashville in late 2010, where they began work on what would become Since Our Departure - their brand new full-length album. “We left the comforts of home to pursue this dream,” explains Capeci. “And that definitely comes through on this record.” To record Since Our Departure, the band split their time between Glow in the Dark Studios in Atlanta with producer Matt Goldman (Anberlin, Underoath), then with Tyler Orr (As Cities Burn, Copeland) at First Street Studios in Cleveland TN. The resulting work is a range of bold anthems, layered with soaring melodies that are riveting with honesty. Throughout the album’s ten towering tracks, Capeci’s lush timbre weaves universal themes of forgiveness and hope, love and loss, and discovering a place in the world. “It just poured out of us,” Genca adds. “There’s a lot of passion and energy on this record. It’s an experience that we’re sharing with the listeners in a very real way.”
