• KNIGHTS OF MONTE CARLO w. Wayward Sons
KNIGHTS OF MONTE CARLO w. Wayward Sons
The Knights of Monte Carlo are distinctly rich, gorgeously handsome and they exhibit exquisitely refined taste. What ambrosia was to the Greek Gods of Mythology, The Knights of Monte Carlo are to Yacht Rock. Because of their own unique style, they frequently attract chic and pulchritudinous admirers from all over the world, as well as many foreign countries. This makes the Knights of Monte Carlo the most popular and internationally sought after "Soft Rock" tribute ensemble of all time. They can be seen performing at only the finest resorts, on luxury cruise ships and the occassional celebrity wedding. So consider it luck, or even fate, if you ever get the chance to see The Knights of Monte Carlo perform live. They usually have much more important things on their agendas such as drinking Pina Coladas, carousing with women almost twice their own age. (All of this occurs, of course, on board a yacht or a helicopter....or more likely, a yacht WITH a helicopter on it.) Remember, The Knights of Monte Carlo look forward to meeting each and every one of you while you thank them for their services...orally.

For Booking Inquiries (that's if you can even afford them) please message the Knights of Monte Carlo's booking agency directly by using this myspace site.

All fan praise, questions and/or comments may or may not be responded to in a timely manner

• TIMMY CURRAN w. The 3 Heads, Craig Handzlik
TIMMY CURRAN w. The 3 Heads, Craig Handzlik
Some musicians have the opportunity to discover musical success at an astoundingly young age. Timmy Curran wasn't one of them. In fact, it wasn't until he was in late twenties did he fully realize the gifts of songwriting and vocal talent that had been tucked away, deep inside him. However, due to his persistence and perseverance, Curran has been able to not only share such gifts with the world - via his recordings and touring - he's been able to fully embrace his seemingly newfound passion with a serious dose of self-confidence.

Curran hails from a musical family, as his grandparents and uncles are musically inclined. Growing up, he attended large family parties, particularly every Thanksgiving or Christmas, which often became a self-described "hootenanny" of songs and performances.

Curran knew that he too was a musician. However, unlike his professional surfing endeavors, this talent took several years to fully cultivate. "I tried for many years and I couldn't get it," he says. "When I was about 14, my dad bought me an acoustic guitar. And once I started playing, I got addicted to playing. I played for quite a few years."

Coupled with the fact that one of his favorite high school subject was English, Curran slowly began to enjoy the time he spent writing potential songs. "From 16 to 27, I wrote all these songs and tried to sing them, but it was horrible. I remember showing my brothers and friends songs over the years, and they would often tell me to maybe try and sell my songs to someone else to sing, in a nice way of saying it."

The years as a struggling songwriter and performer finally paid off with one fateful trip across the Pacific a few years ago. Curran was in Japan and wrote a song called "If I Only Had A Way." He was in his hotel room and had recorded it on his MiniDisc recorder. "I listened to it and didn't bother me too much," he recalls. "I showed my wife and my brothers, and they enjoyed it. I feel it was for me, a surprise and a blessing to overnight sing a song that didn't turn people away."

Armed with this fresh sense of accomplishment, Curran began to ramp up his writing process, in hopes that others would be as agreeable with his musical prowess. Shortly after his Japan jaunt, Curran was in Brazil for a surfing competition. However, he was sidelined with a ten-day waiting period, due to inclement weather. To pass the time, he began writing, and ended up penning two songs, "Horses on the Range" and "Joan." He returned home and found his friends and family taking a strongliking to these latest compositions. For Curran, something had definitely clicked.

One of Curran's friends, Rob Machado, submitted a song for compilation assembled by a Japanese record label and encouraged Curran to submit his MiniDisc recording. Two weeks later, Curran received the news that he would be included on the compilation. "I was so excited! I couldn't believe someone's going to use one of my songs," he says.

A month later, Curran was offered to have "Horses on the Range" placed in documentary on legendary surfboard shaper Al Merrick. Curran subsequently performed at the premiere in front of 1,700 people at the Arlington Theatre. "I was so honored that one of my songs was going to be used in such an anticipated documentary. And I couldn'tbelieve this was happening," Curran recalls.

"Once it started going, it started going fast," he continues. "Next thing you know I'm opening for Switchfoot and Eisley." And then the Foo Fighters came calling, which had Curran - and his quickly-formed backing band - opening 11 dates for the band's acoustic tour, including THREE NIGHTS at the famed Sydney Opera House.

"I was so petrified playing in front of all their fans. I called my buddies in another band and told them, 'I AM NOT going to play for t

• JAY NASH & GUEST w. Joey Ryan, Laura Jansen
JAY NASH & GUEST w. Joey Ryan, Laura Jansen
Jay
Nash's defining musical moment came at age 12, after hearing a 90-minute
Maxell tape with the 1971 Grateful Dead Live album on one side and Cat
Stevens¹ Greatest Hits on the other. To steal a line: What a long,
strange
trip it's been and it's brought him where he is today.

Jay grew up in the small town of Manlius, outside Syracuse in upstate
New
York, spending his summers in the idyllic Thousand Islands region on the
St.
Lawrence River near the U.S.-Canadian border. Listening to that
double-sided Grateful Dead/Cat Stevens cassette "shook something loose
in
me. I felt a connection to something I¹d never felt before."

Picking up the guitar, he eventually discovered Dylan ("I was blown away
by
his imagery, his use of metaphor and allusions It actually scared me
away
from even trying to write songs"), then discovered his talent singing
the
high parts with a friend on Cat Stevens¹ "Father and Son" at a school
talent
show before an audience of 1,500.

"There was something kind of magical and amazing about it," he says of
the
experience performing live. "It wasn¹t about me, but having all these
people
in the same place feeling the same things forgetting about everything
else
for that moment."

Attending SUNY Binghamton and then University of Vermont, Nash played in
a
variety of bands, then as a solo act around the ski lodges of Vermont,
working packed audiences into a frenzy with medleys that went from
"Tennessee Jed" into "Johnny B. Goode," "Feeling Alright" and "Tangled
Up In
Blue."

After graduation, Nash got into his Honda Civic and drove to New York
City,
where he began to write songs in earnest, recording a six-song EP,
playing
some live gigs and experiencing "lots of silly adventures born of
naivete
and youthful stupidity."

By 2001, he had moved to Los Angeles, where he began to pursue a musical
career in earnest. He established a residency at Bar F2, which
eventually
became Room 5, an intimate venue located above an Italian restaurant on
LaBrea Avenue, where he went on to not only play, but also book such
soon-to-be major label artists as Colbie Caillat, Sara Bareilles,
OneRepublic and Tyrone Wells, then began a touring schedule that
included up
to 200 dates a year.

Along the way, Nash developed a following, putting out a series of indie
releases on his own, including 'Open Late ('2002), the full-length
effort he
started three days before 9/11 and ended up selling 2,000 copies through
gigs and CD Baby; 'Nine', a 2004compilation of demos; the
autobiographical
A Stream 'Up North', one of two companion albums he recorded in Thousand
Islands with Joe Purdy; 'The North LaBrea All-Star Conquistadors,' a CD
inspired by the celebrated weekly Monday night shows at Room 5that also
included fellow singer-songwriters Garrison Starr and Gabriel Mann; and
his
most recent release, 'Some Kind of Comfort'. When the shows at Room 5
started attracting media interest and more crowds, Nash moved over to
the
larger Hotel Cafe, which spawned its own musical community.

His upcoming release, 'The Things You Think You Need', is the latest
chapter
in Jay Nash¹s ongoing saga, but in reality, it¹s the start of the story,
not
the end. The album, produced by Chris Seefried andrecorded at Phantom
Vox
Studios in Hollywood, CA during October and November of 2007, shows a
vastly
more mature side to Jay Nash, both sonically and lyrically. All of
Jay¹s
influences are apparent on the album, from the Springsteen-like "Hard
Lesson² to the mellow James Taylor/Dylan and the Band vibe of "Sweet
Talkin'
Liar," from the Cat Stevens-inspired narrative of "Wayfarer" to the
"Tangled
Up In Blue" storytelling of "Over You," the Jackson Browne politics,
spaghetti western guitar and hu

• LOS PINGUOS
LOS PINGUOS
They
came to the US from cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a
mixture of Latin rhythms, performed with Spanish guitars, a Cuban Tres,
Peruvian cajón (box-drum) and harmonizing vocals. Vivacious and
infectious, the sound of Los Pinguos has claimed fans worldwide, from
their hometown to the streets of Los Angeles.

The
story began in 1999 when Adrián Buono, José Agote, Juan Manzur and Juan
Manuel Leguizamón formed the band to play in clubs, bars, and private
parties throughout Buenos Aires. Their exciting, passionate live shows
garnered a devoted fan base, inspiring the talented ensemble to pursue
global attention.

So
they packed their bags and headed north to the Californian shores.
Newly arrived to the City of Angels in early2001, Los Pinguos began
playing at local bars such as The Latin Lounge, The Knitting Factory,
Key Club, Temple Bar & Little Temple. As their popularity grew,
they were invited to perform at the end-of-season party for the hit FOX
show “Dharma & Greg”.

It
was when they started to perform for the crowds at Santa Monica’s 3rd
Street Promenade (a Los Angeles shopping/restaurant hot spot) that the
band realized their potential to reach a wide and diverse audience.

While
performing, they were spotted by a talent scout who urged them to
audition for a new television show, “The Next Big Star”, hosted and
produced by Ed McMahon of “Star Search” fame. In spite of fierce
competition from more seasoned groups, and being the only Latin band to
perform, Los Pinguos won the audience vote and rightly claimed the
Grand Prize. Soon after this, new bassist Santiago Lee joined the
group, giving Los Pinguos a strong backbone and groove to the music,
new and old.

Since
then, they have signed a publishing deal with Latin music heavyweight
Peermusic (Juanes, David Foster), recorded four new albums –"Camino
Bueno" (2002), "Serenata" (2003), “Live In Los Angeles” (2005) a live
double CD on Kufala Records & “Peripecias” (2006) recordedat the
famous Boat Recording Studio. They've played with such acts as
Ozomatli, Yerba Buena, Charlie Zaa & Pablo Montero at the Wiltern
Theatre, Paul Anka & Plácido Domingo at the Music Center of Los
Angeles, Charly Garcia and famed Argentineanrockers Bersuit
Vergarabat. They also appeared at the 2005 SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL with
female songstress Suzanne Vega. Los Pinguos’ music has appeared in TV
shows such as "The Shield", "The L Word", and is featured in the
Antonio Banderas & Emma Thompson film "Imagining Argentina". Most
recently, they have appeared on two of the world famous Putumayo World
Music compliations, “Baila!” & “Radio Latino”. For Adrián, José,
Juan, Juan Manuel and Santiago, this is only the beginning.

STEVE KIMOCK w. Samantha Stollenwerck
Kimock has toured and recorded with many Grateful Dead-themed bands, including Keith and Donna Godchaux's Heart of Gold Band (1979-80), Bob Weir's Kingfish (1986), Merl Saunders and the Rainforest Band (1990-91), Vince Welnick's Missing Man Formation (1996-97), Phil Lesh and Friends (1998-99),[9] and The Other Ones (1998–2000).[10] He was also a member of the Rhythm Devils in 2006, a supergroup formed by Grateful Dead drummers Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, also featuring Mike Gordon of Phish. In July 2007, Kimock was asked to join Bob Weir's RatDog, filling in for Mark Karan, who was undergoing treatment for cancer of the throat.

In addition to those affiliations, Kimock also toured and recorded with Jerry Joseph’s Little Women (1988), with Henry Kaiser and Freddy Roulette as The Psychedelic Guitar Circus (1993) and Steve Kimock & Friends (early 90s). There is no definitive list of Kimock's collaborative efforts. A seminal version of "It's Up To you" appears on "Everybody Slides" (1996). In 2001, he recorded with Pete Sears on his album The Long Haul. Kimock has also been featured on the two most recent recordings by Bruce Hornsby ("Big Swing Face" and "Here Comes the Noisemakers"), and toured as featured guitarist with Bruce Hornsby and his band in the fall of 2002.

Steve Kimock Band (SKB) was Kimock’s primary musical focus from 2000-2006, while he continued to play other outlets such as acoustic performances that allowed him to play some of his favorite and diverse instruments publicly, including custom guitars, vintage lap steels and arch tops, Hawaiian guitars and even an octave mandolin. These special performances continue to offer Kimock the opportunity to connect with his folk roots and with old musical friends.

Kimock launched his newband, Steve Kimock Crazy Engine, in 2009. The band features Melvin Seals on B-3 organ and Kimock's son John Morgan Kimock on drums.

STEPPING FEET w. Josh Halverson, Kalu
San Diego's Stepping Feet hammers home the Dave Matthews Band Experience. Their high energy shows will bring you back to the days when DMB was still playing small clubs trying to make it. Come witness the soaring sax solos, signature violin riffs, syncopated drums fills, funky bass lines, and all the passion and energy you'd want from a front man.

On tour this summer, Stepping Feet will hit Phoenix, El Paso, NYC, New London, Manchester, Narragansett, Newport, Nantucket, Boston, and Worcester! We'll doour best to play all of your favorites. If not, there's always next time!

"Our goal is to bring the same energy, passion, and musicianship to the stage that DMB delivers. While most of our set follows the signature riffs you've come to hear on the studio/live album, we like to open it up so that our individual style shines through. We're all about having fun up there on stage and hopefully that comes through to the audience"!
